First Communion – Young children receive a blessing when they go up to communion. As children grow older and begin to have an interest in the meaning of communion, first communion classes are offered. This class is usually offered once a year for early elementary to middle elementary aged children.
Confirmation is a three year program for middle school students. The class is led by the pastor and meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Teen Ministry – After students are confirmed, they are encouraged to grow in their role as young adult members of Faith. Teens participate in worship services as ushers, readers, musicians, and tech crew. Teens are involved in various service projects throughout the year.
Vacation Bible School – is held each summer. Ages 4 through grade 5 can participate. Middle school and high school students are encouraged to help.
Christmas Program – Each year Faith has a Christmas program involving the entire congregation. Participants include the Sunday school children, the confirmation students, high school students, the bell choir, and the vocal choir. The theme of the program changes each year. The program is held on a Sunday evening in December. The program has no admission cost and no offering is taken. It is the church’s Christmas gift to those who attend.
Music – There are many opportunities for all ages to be involved in music. Please see the web page devoted to music ministry.
Service – In addition to the above activities, many of our children are actively involved in the weekly services. This provides the opportunity for children to be an active participant each week in worship. Children often participate in roles such as acolyte, communion assistance, bell choir, and audio/sound during the service.
